About the Event

Author and historian Nancy Burkhalter will guide participants in learning: 1) what kinds of sources can enrich their project, 2) where to locate them, 3) how to research language translation and word histories, and 4) how to incorporate research into the text without info-dumping. This presentation is for writers, historians, novelists, or anyone conducting research.

 

Speaker bio:

Nancy Burkhalter, PhD, has written academic articles, a textbook on critical thinking, personal histories, magazine and newspaper stories, biographies, two historical novels, and ghostwritten several others. She tutors international students taking standardized English tests, teaches academic writing, chairs dissertation committees for an online university, and coaches authors writing their books. She is also a piano tuner and rebuilder.
