Book cover

Please join us at our next general meeting, on Nov. 14th, when local author/artist Heidi Bohan will bring in artifacts and original line-art drawings to discuss her new book -- and particularly native heritage on the Eastside. Copies will be available for purchase, and Heidi will be autographing books afterward.
Heidi is an ethnobotanist with 15 years experience working with educators, students, tribes, cities and organizations to create educational materials and programs related to native people. She’s also a former resident of the historic Conrad Olson Farm and Slough House Park.
Our general meetings are from 10.30 a.m.-noon at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center, 16600 NE 80th St. We meet the second Saturday of the month, 9 times a year, from January-June and September-November.

Stitch Yourself Into Redmond History

We’re looking for 100 designs of Redmond’s heritage to turn into 100 quilt squares -- and then into a giant quilt that we can raffle off as a fundraiser in 2012 when Redmond turns 100!

The names of all those whose designs are used will be incorporated into the quilt’s border so now’s your chance to be stitched into history!

If you’d like to participate, please contact Joanne Westlund at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it   or call our office at 425-885-2919 to receive an instruction sheet. If you are willing to help with the actual quilting, we would love to hear from you as well.
